These terms apply to lacianpanton.com and the public-facing parts of the Lacian Panton website, including my portfolio, interactive experiences, Project Estimator, Put Something On My Desk, Open Door and private proposal/agreement links where these terms are made available.

1. What this website is
This website is a portfolio, a place to explore my work, and a working demonstration of the kind of strategy, creative technology, websites, apps, automation, marketing systems and digital experiences I build. Some parts are informational; others let you interact with tools or begin a commercial conversation.
Browsing the website or sending an enquiry does not by itself create a client relationship or require either of us to proceed with a project.
2. Demonstrations, estimates and outcomes
Portfolio examples, experiments, observations and estimates are there to demonstrate my work and help you explore possibilities. Unless I expressly agree otherwise in writing, they are not legal, financial, tax or regulatory advice and they are not guarantees of rankings, revenue, conversions, audience growth, app-store approval, uptime or other commercial results.
Project Estimator figures are indicative only. A final scope and price may change once I understand the requirements, technical constraints, third-party costs and timing.
3. Put Something On My Desk
Put Something On My Desk is an asynchronous way to send me a URL, idea, problem or half-formed thought. I do not promise to respond to every submission.
If I do respond, it is a personal observation based on what you chose to send me. It is not a complete professional audit and it does not create a client relationship.
Private Desk responses use private links. Please do not share your link with anyone who should not see the response.
4. Open Door, proposals and projects
Open Door and the Project Estimator help you tell me about a possible project. Paid project work is governed by the project-specific Proposal, Client Services Agreement and any schedule incorporated into that agreement.
Proposal acceptance can indicate an intention to proceed, but where a Client Services Agreement is required, the project does not move into the payment/activation stage until that agreement has been properly executed.
5. Electronic acceptance and signatures
Proposals and agreements may be accepted or signed electronically. The system may record information needed to evidence the transaction, such as the signer’s name and email, date and time, document version, signature method and technical evidence associated with the signing event.
Do not access, alter, probe, enumerate, share or misuse another person’s private project, agreement, payment or portal link.
6. Interactive experiments and AI
Some interactive experiments use third-party technology, including AI, to generate the result you ask for. Where information you submit will be processed by an external AI or analysis service, I will tell you at the point you use that feature.
Automated outputs can be incomplete or wrong. Do not treat them as professional advice, and do not submit confidential or sensitive information unless a feature expressly says it is designed to receive it.
7. Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, the original design, writing, layouts, interactive concepts, artwork, code, branding and other original content on this website are owned by or licensed to Lacian Panton.
You may browse, link to and reasonably share public pages. You may not copy substantial parts of the website, present my work as your own, commercially exploit my original content, circumvent technical controls, or use my name/brand/work misleadingly without permission.
Third-party marks, open-source software and licensed materials remain subject to their own rights and licences.
8. Acceptable use
- Do not use the website unlawfully or abusively.
- Do not send malicious code, spam or material that infringes another person’s rights.
- Do not attempt unauthorised access to admin, portal, storage, database or private areas.
- Do not interfere with security, access controls or reasonable usage limits.
- Do not impersonate another person or deliberately provide contact details you are not entitled to use.
I may restrict access, revoke private links or preserve relevant evidence where reasonably necessary to protect the website, clients or other users.
9. Third-party services and links
The website may use or link to third-party services for payments, bookings, authentication, email, project management, hosting, analytics and AI-assisted features. Those services are controlled by their own operators and may have their own terms and privacy practices.
I am not responsible for outages, policy changes or decisions made by third-party services outside my reasonable control.
10. Availability and security
I may update, improve, suspend or remove public website features. I do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of every public feature or experiment.
I use reasonable measures to protect the website and information it handles, but no internet service can be guaranteed completely secure. Genuine security concerns can be reported to support@lacianpanton.com.
11. Privacy and cookies
My Privacy Policy explains how I use personal information. The Cookie Policy explains cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics. Where consent is required for optional technologies, you can make or change your choice through Change My Crumbs.
12. Consumer rights
Nothing in these terms removes consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Where a qualifying Jersey distance contract requires particular pre-contract information, cancellation information or supplier details, those will be provided in the appropriate contracting journey before the contract is concluded.
13. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful. Subject to that, I am not responsible for loss caused solely by treating a demonstration, estimate or experimental output as a guaranteed result; third-party failures outside my reasonable control; or unauthorised use of a private link caused by your deliberate sharing of it.
Project-specific liability terms are governed by the relevant Client Services Agreement.
14. Jersey law
These Website Terms are governed by the laws of Jersey, Channel Islands. Subject to any mandatory rights that apply to you, disputes relating to use of this website are subject to the jurisdiction of the Jersey courts.
15. Changes and contact
I may update these terms when the website, services or law changes. The current version will show its effective date. Updating these public terms does not silently amend a Client Services Agreement already issued or signed.
